Manglares de David

Le mangrovie del distretto di David si estendono per circa 40.000 ettari e sono considerate il terzo sito più importante di foreste di mangrovie a Panama.
Abbraccia 45 k di estuari nel delta dei fiumi della regione. In questo intricato sistema di canali navigabili le comunità circostanti hanno sviluppato un sistema di pesca artigianale.
È in corso un acceso dibattito su come preservare quest’area di gran pregio naturalistico.
